ANR often enjoys designing small gardens in urban settings. It is very exciting to transform an under-utilized outdoor space into a beautiful garden that home owners can enjoy viewing and strolling through everyday. This garden in Madrona neighborhood, which used to be a patch of lawn on a shady slope, was transformed into a lovely shade garden with seasonal interests. The architectural elements such as a dry-stack stone retaining wall, flagstone path, and stone steps, nicely tie this outdoor space with their craftsman style house. A variety of colorful foliage and textures bring lights and seasonal interests into this shade garden. The water fountain added a lovely final touch to this garden with pleasant white noise.
